Bradwan was commissoned to write Cultural Guides for every town with a League club for The Football and Real Ale Guide's 2006-07. Roughly one third were based on the guides mentioned below, although even those had to be drastically rewritten inorder to fit within the 250 word limit.

The guides were based on knowledge, beer and whatever was making me angy when I wrote them. To paraphrase the great Sydney Smith:
I never visit a place before writing about it. It prejudices a man so.
Although I had visited all bar 4 of the towns before I wrote about them.
