Baht 'at Day
Saturday 10th October, in Ilkley.
A celebration of Yorkshire's unofficial anthem.
UK Hat Throwing Championship.
From 12.30. White Wells.
Strict T.I.F.F.H.A Rules (Transnational Institute For Formally Thrown Hat Associations). Entry by ticket, available on the day. Modest charge.
Indoor 007 Event. Hat thrown over the White Well onto a hatstand (hatstand supplied by Darargh Corcoran of Radio Leeds).
Outdoor event. Hats thrown to top of pole.
Other events may be staged.
Freestyle hat throwing of allowed hats welcome, but no competition.
All hats must arrive on a human head. No hat swopping allowed once a hat and owner are registered. All hats must be biodegradable, incase of loss on the Moor. All hats must be Safe to throw. No helmets, plastic hats, or metal parts (in a bowler of otherwise) allowed.
Hat fighting will result in a sine die ban from all T.I.F.F.T.H.A competitions.

The story of the song, the hymn it came from, told by Glyn Watkins. A chance to sing both hymn and song. Hymn sheets will be available. Singing lead by the Rev. Stuart Jenkins.
