The Lord Mayor of London (the proper one, not the jumped up political one) said It sounds very exciting! to Glyn Watkins, as he stood on Cheapside Market, dressed as Thomas Britton, in his home made denim coal smock, crying Small coal.
Overall, this a performance that can be confidently - even joyously - recommended. It is extremely entertaining, very skillful, and as much characterised by subtlety as by exuberance.

The fete of South Milford
Seemed to be rain
Summertime blizzards
and going insane
But Yorkshire's sweet heart
Brings sun through the storms
True heart's of the village
Leave sweet memories that warm.

There was Piping in the pie to Ilkley Moor Ba'tat; a meat and potato pie supper with sticky toffee pud to follow; and readings from the works of J.B.Priestley by me, Jenny Beaumont and Linda Lewick - including The pie shop.
The site of Queensbury Station is where I was the Lost Line Poet and talked about the history of the Great Northern Railway's mad line, and sold my brother's wonderful railway maps of Bradford.

I got the above lovely letter
from Kenneth Branagh just a couple of weeks after the signed photo (below) thanking me for the Little Red head Book I sent him. He had been almost totally occupied with filming The Magic Flute , and I guess was working through his non-urgent mail.
I also got
this letter
from Kenneth Branagh before the event I organised to launch my first book.
